Eucalyptus  is grown for its firm round leaves that grow along the length of pliable, somewhat pendant branches. The leaves are smooth and silvery blue-green in colour, and provide amazing contrast of both shape and colour in flower arrangements. The leaves famously earned this eucalyptus the common name Silver Dollar Tree. It can be grown indoors as a houseplant, or in the garden as an eye-catching specimen that will be ready to harvest 100 to 150 days from planting. Eucalyptus can be brought in to over winter. Give Eucalyptus seeds a head start indoors 10 to 12 weeks before the last frost.

Germination Note: Eucalyptus seeds take about 21 days to sprout at 18–24°C (65–75°F). They require patience and precise conditions to start such as a heat mat and grow lights on a timer. They are easy to grow, they just take some patience.
