This seed potato is a great choice for anyone watching their sugars. Huckleberry Gold has been bred to have a low glycemic index. Not only is it a great potato for diabetics and many diet types, this potato is a high yeilding medium sized potato with purple skin and rich, buttery yellow flesh. This potato has a great storage life and matures in about 85 days. 
 
Interesting fact about this potato: This is a hybrid potato, it is NOT modified. It was streamlined to have these traits by breeding practices. It was developed by a callabration of researchers from diabetic support groups and the American Celiac Society to produce this "health first" seed potato.
