Mini Mike’s sweet red flesh has a pleasantly dense texture and very small seeds. Expect high yields of personal sized, 1.8-2.3kg (4-5lb) fruit that are round to slightly oval. Classic Crimson Sweet rind pattern. Good tolerance to Fusarium Wilt and Gummy Stem Blight.
 
On Hotchkiss Flower Farm, we like to plant melon starts into the tulip rows after tulips have finished blooming. We have great success growing all melons this way!
 
Starting
Sow seeds 1cm (½”) deep inside in warm bright place. Set transplants 60-90cm (24-36″) apart in rows 1.5-2m (5-6′) apart.
