Jaap Groot is an all around unique flower. The foliage is white edged, and the blooms are one of a kind . Blooms last a long time in the landscape and get 2 feet tall!  Great cut flower! you don't see tulips like these very often, if ever!

In our northern climate here in Hotchkiss area, it is a good practice to mulch over all bulbs with a layer of leaf mulch  and avoid any walking or driving over the planted bulbs during the winter. Also. during planting, amend the soil with bonemeal  and worm castings.
