Seed Potato, Satina (2 Kg)
2 kg Satina Seed Potatoes
Highly Scab Resistant. Very high yielding, 60 to 80 days to maturity, good storage life.
The Satina potato is a very heavy producer. It has high resistance to scab and blight which makes this potato a great choice to grow in our clay soil up here in the north. It is a silky, buttery, smooth texture that makes some of the best potato salad, roasted potatoes and mashed are absolutely mouth watering good. We have grown Satina for years, it consistently out yields Yukon Gold often by double. We have found this potato never gets scab even on years that all the other varieties do. Satina also stores much better over winter than Yukon Gold in our experience growing this variety.
Satina has held up well in our northern climate for late planting. We have planted Satina as late as end of June and have had abundant harvests in the fall for winter storing.

We highly recommend amending the soil at time of planting with worm casting for all potatoes to help prevent scab. Find Worm Castings here
