Crocus will bloom before the snow is all melted. A very welcome sight after our harsh Northern Alberta winter. These will come back year after year. The flowers are large and colourful.

In our northern climate here in Hotchkiss area, it is a good practice to mulch over all bulbs with a layer of leaf mulch  and avoid any walking or driving over the planted bulbs during the winter. Also. during planting, amend the soil with bonemeal.
