A fantastic cut flower filler and landscape flower! Also known as Swamp Milkweed. Cinderella has a vanilla fragrance (and sometimes coffee). As a cut flower, it is recommended to place in a vessel of water by itself for a few hours to bleed out sap before mixing with other florals in a bouquet. It has a great vase life when hydrated properly. Asclepias was one of my best filler flower sellers to florists when I still sold wholesale. It is just one of those filler flowers that grabs peoples attention! It gets serious stem length too!
 
Prefers a lot of moisture. It does do better in humus rich soil, but holds it's own well in clay soil. Feed it worm castings, especially in clay and watch it bloom it's little heart out!
